Yikes, it's blowing a hurricane outside! Gales of 100mph are battering Scotland, schools are closed, buses overturned and trees are being tossed around like twigs. Power in 50,000 homes have gone down, and it's fast heading our way.
Bec is directing the school play, she's put hours of work in for months now, and the performance is set for tonight.
Call me silly, but I'd kinda' assumed all bets'd be off under the circumstances?
Silly me.
She had tea with the boarders this evening, in lieu of coming home - and this is the email I've just received:-
Message from the Bursar:
Dear Parents,
We have received a severe weather warning from the Met Office and the forecast for this evening is bad: high winds and rain - especially between 6 and 8pm.
We have decided that we will continue with House Drama this evening.
If you intend joining us for drinks at 6.30 pm followed by the performances at 7.00 pm we would ask that you take great care when parking your car, opening and closing your car doors and when collecting your children later in the evening.

Bonkers, or what? It's a 20 mile round trip there and back, down dark and twisty, unlit country lanes, through hail and rain, AND A HURRICANE.
I'm so darned glad hubby is the designated driver for tonight..(shudder)!
