Ahh I had to click "classic" to be able to navigate your blog and leave a comment.. the mosaic (which it first appeared as) was giving me all sorts of problems including only showing half of the comment field.
Oh, I hope I can do this properly,,, I've had a heck of a time commenting on blogs with this new format. Anyway, will miss you, but enjoy your time off, you cute little scamp!
TexWisGirl, I'll have you know my eldest calls my dimples, "those hole in your face", I can't thank you enough for this, haaaaaaaaaaa, I am about to print this out, and shove it up his nose!
Oh Tabor, if only you knew (sigh). Actually, when that was taken, my sis' took the pic - she was over from the mainland on a vist - and all it did was POUR down - it doesn't show on the photo, but the rain was torrential..
Thanks for perservering Hilary, I liked this layout a lot, but as you can see, I've reverted back to my tried and trusted old style again, it's obviously far more reliable!
Sorry Ms. A, and many thanks for bearing with it to get through - I guess I shouldn't fiddle - as the old adage goes, "If it 'ain't broke, why fix it?".
Mark, I think this is possibly the very best comment I've ever had, you have no idea how much this has made my year (see my happy face?), thank you so much, bonny lad, you are a both a scholar and a gentleman! (x)
Bill, I may not have a salaried job, hon, but being a full time carer for my man-child son is taking it's toll right now, one of my reasons for NEEDING a break from just about everything.
ps. Unlike regular folk, I don't get ANY holidays, it's 24/7.
Haaaa, I think that version is probably more apt, when it comes to politicians, Cricket. Ah, as for the break, I find I'm putting up far too many re-posts as of late. I decided to be honest with myself, blogging isn't doing anything more than guilt-tripping me right now, I'm finding little new to post.. it's def time for a break.
Oh No, I just got here! But you are so cute I'll have to forgive you! And I can't believe there is a place called Craggy Island. Sounds awesome! Enjoy your break!
Hi there Stick-up! Okay, I'll confess, Craggy Island is a fictional island used in the TV comedy series "Father Ted", which was meant to be an island just off the coast of Ireland. As I happen to live on a tiny island just off the coast of Ireland, and am convinced the plot they came up with may have been inspired by some of the inbred and quirky neighbours in these parts, I've claimed the name Craggy Island for our own (it's actually name is The Isle of Man)!
Enjoy your blogging break! I think we all need those from time to time. I don't know about behaving though. =;] Its not near as much fun as the alternative.
What a great photo - will miss your posts - probably not on here too much myself till I get organised after the big move so hopefully thats about when you feel like posting again
I am a silent..very silent.. follower and avid reader of your blog. I will miss you. Terribly. Enjoy though. And come back with fantastic stories. God Bless :)
Oh Choco, this is so special for me, thank you for your kind words, they have truly made my day. I know you have commented before, tho' not often. The fact that you purposefully visit simply because you actually are entertained by some of my writing is HUGE, and gives me such a boost!
Och... I finally steal some time to catch up on your blog and you've run off... (wink) one of my fav pics of you. Dang... now I have to try and remember my Blogger password...
Chewy? That name rings a bell.. oh yeah! I remember you (wink), was a time you used to read every post of mine! Nice to see you in here again, guess you found your password then? (Hugs)
Aww, I'm sorry, RC, I heard that new format was pretty useless to comment with, so I've reverted back to my usual style again now - thanks for perservering (hugs). Yeah, I'm off to see the eldest, in Newcastle, this weekend, thought I'd get some Christmas shopping in whilst I'm there. 'Tis the season to be busy, eh? I'm sure you have your hands full, too.
You look like you are already having fun. I see Choco has made her way here. I am not surprised as I know she enjoys great writing. Choco was on of my first blogger friends - Her feedback is always a delight. Congrats on a great blogger friend.
Haaaaaaaaaa - Margaret, it's always a delight whenever you stop by, as you never fail to paint this big, wide smile across my face, I do so look forward to your visits! (x) I'm enjoying catching up with all kinds of projects, some very long neglected and almost abandoned. Yes, I AM having fun!
Hi there Kitty, aw shucks, we sure do have that expression, and I'm tickled pink at such lovely, if mis-placed flattery (see my happy grin?)! I may be taking a break in posting, but I can't do cold turkey altogether - I still need my fix of visiting, lookout, I'm coming over.
Jaja, thanks for following, since you obviously understand English, and I PRESUME you wish to read my blog(??). Having been to your site, it appears written in Portugese, a language I do not speak. Why on earth follow someone simply to bump up your numbers?
Hey there Strumpet, great to see you again, it's always a pleasure to have you drop by. Sometimes the best cure for writers block, is to go off and do something entirely different for a while - well, that's my theory.. (wink)
Damn! I took my break and return to find you laying out? Well, enjoy your break I know I enjoyed mine, but don't know if I can behave with no one watching my back! hugs Sandi
hope things are going Ok with your son. I was sorta joking on that previous comment and didn't mean to imply you don't deserve a break. Care taking for anyone is a special job that deserves praise. If you need a bloggie-fix you might be interested in a challenge I joined regarding the 12 days of Christmas which I understand is an old English tune. You Brits probably even have partridges in pear trees.

I'll never behave, but you have a fine break anyway!
What on earth are you up to with that devilish grin?
Ahh I had to click "classic" to be able to navigate your blog and leave a comment.. the mosaic (which it first appeared as) was giving me all sorts of problems including only showing half of the comment field.
Anyway... enjoy your break. :)
I had to click "classic" too! Enjoy your break, I'll wait.
NOO! Don't take a break! I keep coming back looking for new posts, and this is definitely NOT the post I wanted to see!
Oh, I hope I can do this properly,,,
I've had a heck of a time commenting

Have a great break - I thought your whole life was a break.
TexWisGirl, I'll have you know my eldest calls my dimples, "those hole in your face", I can't thank you enough for this, haaaaaaaaaaa, I am about to print this out, and shove it up his nose!
Oh Barbara, I only said to behave, I didn't say HOW to behave, now did I? Badly's fine by me.. (Wink|)
Aw Kate, that's my gal!
Oh Tabor, if only you knew (sigh). Actually, when that was taken, my sis' took the pic - she was over from the mainland on a vist - and all it did was POUR down - it doesn't show on the photo, but the rain was torrential..

Hiya Babs, and um, hey, it takes one to know one, y'know? (Grin) And, och, I'll be back soon enough, I can never stay away for long!

I am going to miss you, big time. But, even Dawson said, "S..t, ya gotta have prayorities...."
hugs, dan
Enjoy the time off!
Enjoy that time off!
Hi Dan, my friend. Aw, you won't miss me at all, 'cos I'll still be over as much as ever, to see you, this I promise! (x)
Thanks, Secret Agent.
Oh Madge, I'm so sorry to run out, just as you come in for a first time visit! Thanks for dropping by.
Enjoy your break, look after yourself & we'll still be here on your return, waiting to read your brilliant words. x
Thanks Fen, you're a pal!
Ah. Well, that was a short one.
Enjoy your break, but do come back. It may be harder than you think... for all my good intentions, I have yet to get it back together.
And just for a laugh, re a previous response, I heard recently, in reference to our Republican party, but pretty widely applicable, the philosophy:
If it ain't broke, break it!

Hum, I meant to say actual, not actually (blush..)
Of course, I understand. Have fun. Will look forward to your return.
Thanks X-Dell, but I'll still have you on my stalking list (wink)..
Y'know, the way you put that, it sounds like fun.
Hope you're out having a VERY fun time.
xoxo jj
And it is, X-Dell, 'specially when you don't draw the shades (evil cackle).
..walking away, hands in back pocket, attempting an innocent whistle..
JJ, I'm really excited, I have big plans!
Enjoy your blogging break! I think we all need those from time to time.
I don't know about behaving though.
=;] Its not near as much fun as the alternative.

The blogisphere will eagerly await your return ;-)

Aw, cheers Skunk, I can never stay away for long, I'll be back for my fix in no time, count on it.
Oh Choco, this is so special for me, thank you for your kind words, they have truly made my day. I know you have commented before, tho' not often. The fact that you purposefully visit simply because you actually are entertained by some of my writing is HUGE, and gives me such a boost!

Great pic. Looks like a nice place to be!
Enjoy your hiatus. I tend to take unannounced hiatuses. Weekly :)
Ha, Bone, nice place to be? I have my hands in the air, 'cos the minute I hit the beach the heavens opened out - it was piddling it down!
Hah, now I can comment! The mass of photos messed my up big time when I tried before!
Make sure you come back soon! I can imagine that the run up to Christmas is mayhem in your house, so try to stay sane!

WEEK, Harry?? Heavens above, gimme a break (swat!), I may be taking me a wee bit longer than that, I'm afraid (evil grin)..!
I am Brazilian and I am following your blog, you can follow me too?
www.jaylsonbatysta.blogspot.com
abraço!
Jaja, thanks for following, since you obviously understand English, and I PRESUME you wish to read my blog(??). Having been to your site, it appears written in Portugese, a language I do not speak. Why on earth follow someone simply to bump up your numbers?
I hope your "blogging break" is a positive thing for you and not something serious. What a great and cute photo!
I haven't been at it as much myself.
But, I wanted to stop by and say hello and see what Shrinky's been up to.
Enjoy your break and Blogland will see you soon.
xo
Thanks Pat, and yes, all is well, I just seem to be splitting myself in too many directions right now (smile)..!
Hey there Strumpet, great to see you again, it's always a pleasure to have you drop by. Sometimes the best cure for writers block, is to go off and do something entirely different for a while - well, that's my theory.. (wink)
